Central Air Temple

Central Air Temple was a school project focussed on game level design, where the goal was to create a level based on a super villain theme. Being a big fan of the Avatar universe, I chose Zaheer from The Legend of Korra. The result was a 3D puzzle platformer.

The objective of the exercise was to design a level that naturally guided the player without any explicit instructions. That meant using clues like lighting and contrast to subtly lead the player through the level.

Since I've always loved creating 3D art and assets, I also used this project as an opportunity to learn more about lightmap baking, toon shading and terrain sculpting. Though I still think the terrain turned out a bit rough.

Overall, it was a project I look back on fondly, both for the creative freedom it offered and for how much I learned from it.
