Recor Home

Starting at my first job at World of Waw in 2015, Recor Home was the first professional project I had ever worked on. It was a 3D furniture configuration application, made at the request of the Belgian company Recor Group, based in Hasselt. The main purpose of the app was to complement their in-store furniture displays, allowing users to explore all available configuration options on a tablet, design an entire room and receive a personalized quote directly from the app.

The app was originally built for the Apple iPad, but later expanded to include Android and Windows version. It also featured an augmented reality component using Vuforia, enabling users to visualize Recor furniture in their own homes. Additionally, users could scan QR codes in showrooms with their device's camera to instantly load the corresponding 3D model in the app.

At the time, it was my first complex, large-scale application, involving many moving parts. From 2018 until early 2020, I maintained both the back- and frontend of the application. Sadly, when the original company went bankrupt in mid-2020, our five-year collaboration came to an end.
